Here's my response to your two requests. Sorry for the length of it.
This information comes, first and foremost, from direct experience and strong intuitions, but also from trusting the words of a few people I have come to respect.
My sense around what is going on with the financial/job issues so many of us face, has more to do with where the world is going in the near term, than anything else. Focusing on how to create income (aligned to our hearts) can't be looked at outside of the larger picture of the future of planet Earth and human society. There's simply no way any of us (spiritual seekers) can manifest much of anything which is out of alignment with the intense, transformative energies gaining strength by the day.
I started on my spiritual path intensively when I was 17. I'm now 58. So this is quite a few years of testing theories and working closely with my higher self to better understand what's going on. I started my first business when I was 23 and have spent all my 35 years since figuring out what it means to build and live in alignment with the principles of "conscious commerce". I've started more than 15 for-profit and non-profit companies; have negotiated deals worth more than $30 million; have received investment dollars from over 100 investors (most quite unconscious); hired hundreds of employees; and have worked with some of the largest companies in the world. Every moment of this 35 years was deeply involved with my spiritual work. I never separated my financial affairs and business from my spiritual life. In addition, every business I started was not only on the cutting edge of "right livelihood", but threatened the mainstream way of doing things. What this means is that I was a threat to the dark forces and the Illuminati... and they've let me know that often.
In the early days, I was convinced I could master the art of manifestation. The so-called "laws of abundance and manifestation" started being talked about in the 70's in various spiritual circles, and I jumped right in. I followed the Hicks/Abraham materials when they first came out (mid-80's), and really dug into it. Having grown up around money, I had no fears whatsoever regarding abundance. I always thought whatever I needed would be made available. And for a while, this held true. But over the years, each time I got close to success, something would come in totally from left field and stop my work dead in its tracks.
In the early days, I figured my abundance/manifestation skills just needed improvement. So I picked up the pieces, started a new business, and put into practice all I had learned. But this pattern continued to repeat. Even when I brought in experienced businesspeople (with conventional mindsets) to help, something would always happen just as I got within an inch of a major breakthrough.
One thing I have learned with ABSOLUTE certainty is that my abundance/manifestation techniques were NOT the problem. I was very, very good at following the programs. Through years of experience, I can tell everyone here that your techniques are not to blame either. These so-called laws are total BS. It just doesn't work like The Secret or The Hicks or Wayne Dyer says it should. This is all a scam, about as reliable as the lottery (which absolutely works for a small percentage of people... or better said, appears to work). Sorry to be so blunt, but this is truth. These laws may have had some practical value at some earlier time, but definitely not now.
What is truth for all of us here at Lauren's site is that our higher selves are in complete control, and NOTHING we do at this 3D level of mind and ego can cause anything to manifest which was not first put into motion at a higher level. Please understand... I have had hundreds of thousands of dollars flow into my life, again and again, from various sources, with no rhyme or reason to any of it. And I've had things crash in on me in bizarre, unpredictable ways, just at the moment all movement was going totally in a positive direction. It's not in my control...and it's not in yours either. Meaning, we have no control at this 3D level of existence.
Why is this? There are many reasons... different one's at different times for different people (and sometimes all at the same time!). Broadly speaking, these fall into a few categories:
1. We have something to learn, and this financial challenge is an important vehicle for this learning process. Could be overcoming fears, dealing with issues of self worth, learning gratitude, learning to surrender, karma, etc. "Dark nights of the soul" are in this category as well.
2. Something we are doing is threatening the "powers that be" or simply the establishment (but even with this, we had to agree to it beforehand, between lives).
3. We're experiencing the results of this (final 3D) lifetime of "balancing" (I'll explain this later).
4. Timing. Our lives are choreographed precisely. Some things just happen at certain specific times.
5. External planetary and galactic energies (particularly powerful now).
Point #1 has been talked about ad-infinitum by many here and elsewhere. Point #2 is less important now, as the "powers that be" are close to being the "powers that were". Points #3, 4 and 5 are the big one's at work now for many of us, provided each of us has dealt with the Point #1 issues.
I mentioned previously about the global financial system collapsing within a year. You asked why I believe this to be so. Here are the reasons:
1. The system is completely unsustainable. It is rotten to the core, because it is unconscious at its core. The signs are everywhere that it is collapsing (stock market, jobs, rioting, wars, etc).
2. The divide between conscious and unconscious people is growing and near a peak. Everyone here knows what it feels like to be around unconscious people. It's painful to our hearts.
3. A huge, 16.4 billion-year cycle (described by the Mayan calendar) completes within 15 months (perhaps as soon as 10/28/11). This is really amazing. Think about this and take in the enormity of it. This entire cycle is about to end! What an amazing time to be alive.
4. A critical 26,000 cycle (the precession of the equinoxes) ends shortly. This is an astronomical fact. We are now close to being in alignment with the Galactic Sun.
5. A vast number of off-world ships (some say over 1 million) are stationed all around the planet. Countless humans have been abducted and/or visited by ET's and/or are channeling them. These ships are here for a reason.
6. Elenin is a factual object moving towards Earth, and will be quite close within 2 months.
7. Nibiru has been identified by various researchers as located behind the sun. We should become aware of precisely what it is doing within one year... perhaps just a few months.
8. The half-life of every known element on Earth is changing. Studies at the Hadron Collider indicate the 3D world is deteriorating.
9. Countless ex-CIA, FBI, NASA, and military personnel are coming forward publicly and telling long-held secrets about the Illuminati, ET's, and the control the shadow government has employed for a very long time. The long history of control by the dark cabal is nearly over.
10. For many, many people who have seen the 11:11 symbol over the years, we are quickly approaching the key date of 11/11/11. Of equal significance is that the exact moment of the winter solstice on 12/21/12 is 11:11 PM (GMT). How amazing is that!
Beyond these 10 points, I KNOW... with absolute certainty... that I am done with living in 3D reality, as it has been. I have lived this reality through countless lifetimes. I've been everything... king, peasant, murderer, saint, artist, businessman, straight man, gay man.... and on and on. I have no more interest in another lifetime in 3D-land. I am ready for a very different experience. Countless others, like me, feel AND KNOW this as well.
Finally, Mother Earth herself is preparing to ascend. It is why so many ET's are here. They know what is about to happen. It is her time. It had to come. After 16.4 billion years (since the big-bang), she is ready. And so, too, are many of us... to ascend with her. To create a new world based on what the Mayan's call Unity Consciousness.
So how does all of this effect our personal financial situations?
First and foremost, there is a great balancing-of-lifetimes taking place. Just as Mother Earth is straightening her axis and coming into perfect balance, so too are we. In this final 3D lifetime, everyone who will ascend is experiencing exactly the life they need in order to create balance in the positive-to-negative spectrum of lifetime experiences. For some, this means a very simple or easy life; for others, far more challenges or negativity. There's no judgment in any of this. It's just what is necessary. Assume what you are going through is exactly what is necessary. Don't judge it.
Secondly, there will be waves of people becoming conscious as we get closer to the Earth's ascension date. Some of those "ahead" of the game (like many of us) will be needed to assist others coming up behind us. For many of us experienced at losing everything (and remaining sane!), we'll be of enormous help to others as they go through a similar, but greatly accelerated, process. The time for this is close at hand.
Third, our bodies are going through enormous ascension-related changes. Many of us simply can't hold down any type of conventional job. We need space and time to allow our bodies to adjust... even if it is at the expense of our sanity! (and scary as hell). But we'll make it.
Fact is (and I've heard this from lots of people), it's almost impossible for many of us to tolerate the atmosphere present in most conventional work environments. The disconnect between us and that is too great.
Here's my suggestion.
I believe we will know, with far more certainty, what is going on globally, by the end of October... including why we've gone through what we've gone through. I expect we will see ENORMOUS, Earth-changing events take place during September and October... unlike anything we have seen yet. These will be off-the-charts, and will change everything. This isn't one of those "moving target" kind of things. It has to occur during that time frame (otherwise, all bets are off!). So hang in there... we're getting close.
But just in case this doesn't happen, I'm not standing still. I have four substantial, tangible, grounded ventures underway. I am focused on seeing them come to fruition every day (as best I can, given the ascension symptoms I have to deal with continually). One already has sales (upwards of $20,000/month). But I can tell you... with 100% certainty... that I (the 3D me) have ABSOLUTELY no control over what does, and will, occur with these. These ventures have a life of their own. I just do what I can, day to day. My sense is they have no long term future. They're just here to keep money flowing in as needed, as I have no other source of income, nor any savings. Each of us seems to have some mechanism in our lives to keep us afloat (albeit barely sometimes!).
Notwithstanding all the above, if anyone wants to hear about ways to start their own business and/or discover what they might do to create income, I'm happy to share what I've learned. But I can't promise any of it will be effective now. We're really in new territory.
